I THINK it is safe to say that all those who turned out, on a very cold night, were thoroughly entertained by John Freeland from Rookes Wines in Stratford. He led us through six wine tastings sampling bottles from France, South Africa and Chile. He had many a humorous tale to tell and was very informative about what we should serve with different foods. On this occasion we had invited our partners too. Afterwards we enjoyed generous helpings of four different cheeses and bread while asking John questions and drawing our Easter raffle.
