The talk at our meeting in September was about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Roy Sturdy told us about many things that are not well known -
the bridges and tunnels which Brunel designed as well as his ships – truly an engineering genius!
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 5 October at Broadwell Village Hall with a talk from Linda Warren called ‘The Wartime Kitchen’.
