MORETON (EVENING) WI

 WE recently hosted the Cotswold North Group Rally attended by 63 members and three guests from GFWI.

The speaker was Prue Leith who told us stories of her life as a renowned restaurateur, caterer, TV cook, broadcaster, cookery writer and novelist. The evening concluded with a splendid finger buffet prepared by members.

At our July meeting we enjoyed a demonstration of enamelling on copper by Jeff Ford. His display of beautiful pieces of jewellery and other items was much admired.

In August members will enjoy a guided walk around Tewkesbury followed by supper and will meet again on September 13 in the WI Hall, when the speaker will be Gordon Ottewell on Tales out of School. New members and visitors are always welcome.
