Pershore Ladies Guild

PERSHORE LADIES GUILD: The Guild met on Tuesday, April 3, at The Civic Centre. The layout of the room was changed to accommodate our quiz. We were also challenged with Dingbats – they can be so frustrating, especially when the answer is given. The result ended in a draw and the tie-break question was brought in to play.

How far is it – as the crow flies – from Land’s End to John O’Groats? Do you know? Thanks to Alex for organising the quiz and being quizmaster. The meeting continued with various reports.

During the month some of the members play skittles at the Sports Centre. This takes place on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am. It sounds like they have a lot of fun.

The Guilded Lilies are a concert group formed from members of the guild. They provide entertainment for various groups, birthday parties and more recently at the United Reform Church in Stratford and will perform at the Plum Festival Gala Night. If you think this is something you would enjoy taking part in, come and join us.

Our next meeting is on May 1 at the Civic Centre at 2pm. Our speaker is Silvie Partridge who will talk on the Restoration of Croome Park and Court. Do come and join us, you’ll be very welcome.
