THIS Sunday sees the arrival of the Olympic Torch in Evesham, Chipping Campden and Broadway.

Excitement is mounting as thousands of people are preparing to line the streets to cheer the torch on its way.

The Olympics features many kinds of sports, ranging from the more sedate to the very fast and energy demanding.

Thank goodness that not everyone wants to take part in the same event but that individuals can have a calling for different sports.

At the Evesham Festival of Sport on Crown Meadow on that day will be various groups advertising their sports and asking people to try it for themselves to see what suits them. They will be saying to people who have never tried a sport to sample it for themselves.

The Churches Together in Evesham & District will also be there advertising the different churches that make up the group.

Maybe you have never tried church – so we want to give you the opportunity to sample what’s on offer.

In our group there are various forms of worship to suit all tastes but the ultimate aim is to show the love of God through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing a message of hope to us all through new life in Him.
