I could not believe my eyes when I was reading the letter (town is tolerant) from numerous religious organisations and other high and mighty individuals.

How dare these people attack the Journal for being unbiased and reporting events as they happen!

So, reading between the lines, these individuals want the Journal to act as a dictator and control what we can and can't read about!

That is not democracy or freedom of speech; it actually reminds me of some of the countries from the developing world where women and girls are classed as second class citizens and the Press is highly censored. Is this what these individuals/organisations want?

While I don't agree with the EDL, I can understand where people's concerns around immigration come from.

So instead of burying one's head in the sand or knocking people for trying to speak up, it's about time these people listed at the bottom of this letter let the townfolk of Evesham have their say.

Let's have a proper, balanced debate on the very high immigration that Evesham has endured over the last 10 years.

This issue is not going to go away, and it can not be swept under the carpet as this will only frustrate people even more.
