The Government has a consultation under way on vocational school subjects and they may discontinue Environmental and Land Based Science (ELBS), which is a very popular course at Chipping Campden school.
They have a school farm with their own flock of Cotswold sheep and Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs, an orchard producing apple juice and a polytunnel for growing crops.
I believe school farms are key to encourage the next generation into agriculture and the food industry, indeed we need more of them.
If you agree with me, please respond to the consultation by emailing consultations@ofqual.gov.uk putting "Completing GSCE, AS and A-level reform consultation" in the subject line.
