MY partner and I awoke to find that we had suffered the indignity last weekend of having been burgled whilst we slept.

Our uninvited guests relieved us of a car, house keys, wallets and purse.

Upon this discovery we contacted the local Evesham police who arrived within minutes of the call.

The two officers who attended could not have been more diligent and courteous, choosing their words carefully and acting with respect and humour at the appropriate times. Following this, another officer from the scenes of crimes attended to try and obtain evidence that may be used in any subsequent prosecution.

Later in the day we were again visited by a police community support officer, who like the other officer acted impeccably and professionally.

In times where it would seem we are generally all too quick to criticise our public servants, we thought it was only fair to highlight the excellent and professional manner in which we were dealt with when we required help.

Our belongings can be replaced, but regaining confidence in our security will take a little longer, albeit the actions of our local police will surely quicken this.
