THIS month saw the Royal British Legion commemorating the dead of forces involved in conflicts all over the world from 1914 until the present day, along with a funeral service for the late Noel Wilkes.

This could not have been undertaken without the help of numerous people far too many to name.

However, on behalf of the legion I wish to thank all sea cadets and army cadets for the wonderful turnout. Especially at the Bengeworth Parade.

A special thank-you to the cadets who did the exhortation with me at the war memorial on Remembrance day and Armistice Day.

Also to Cadet Alex Ludlow for reading of In Flanders Field on Sunday at Bengeworth. He didn't know he was doing so until the Saturday.

Also to Rev Andrew Spurr and Rev Peter Burch.

We also attended an emotional thought-provoking evening of music and reading at the art centre. This was the work of Prince Henry's students and was really magnificent. Thank you for inviting us.

Friday night we were at St Peter's for another evening for remembrance of Bengeworth's fallen.

These events showed once again that the youngsters of the town and surrounding areas have lots of talent. Plus a great deal of respect.

Thank you all.
