I VISITED the new Bidford Health Centre on the busy Stratford Road for the first time since it was built.
No doubt in terms of space it is an improved facility for the staff, and no doubt in time the patients will grow to appreciate it, despite the location.
However, I found exiting the car park and turning right onto Stratford Road a very anxious and hazardous manoeuvre.
The surgery is half-way up a hill, and traffic appears very quickly over the brow of the hill when turning right and just as quickly up the hill from the left.
I predict that this will become an accident blackspot unless provision is belatedly made for safer exiting of vehicles.
A roundabout would probably do the trick.
