MAY I draw the attention of your readers to the availability of assistance from Pershore United Charities.
We welcome applications for help from people who are struggling to make ends meet in Pershore.
The aim of the charity is “to provide for the relief of the poor, aged or infirm and their advancement in life” specifically for residents of Pershore town.
Trustees of the charity are keen to ensure that funds from its modest annual endowment are fully used for the benefit of people meeting the above criteria.
Help would usually take the form of either a one off payment of cash or vouchers.
Pershore United Charities is a historic endowment governed by the Henry Smith Charity. Its roots date back to the early 17th century and its specific focus is upon residents within the wards of St Andrews and Holy Cross, Pershore.
Christmas was then seen as the traditional time to give assistance and now, although still a potentially very stressful time, help can be given throughout the year. Application forms are available upon request from the Clerk to the Trustees, Pershore United Charities, c/o Pershore Town Hall, 34 High Street, Pershore, WR10 1DS
All applications will be treated sympathetically and in the strictest confidence.
Rev Mark Jennings
Chairman of Pershore United Charities
