MAY I thank the Evesham Journal for highlighting WHOPPPS (Worcestershire Hole, Official Pot-hole Protection and Preservation Society); we have received lots of reports about hither to unknown potholes and we shall be looking into them.
Your readers may be interested in some research we have recently undertaken. Several million years ago the area now known as Civic Centre, Pershore, was under the sea.
I would like to see the area declared a Subterranean Dinosaur Nature Reserve, where prehistoric creatures can mingle, and discuss how their bones will one day make expensive fuel.
Research also revealed that ostriches and buses used to be part of the village's natural wildlife. While the ostriches remain, the bus is now a rare and seldom-seen species.
