I READ the article about Badsey Brook and proposed flood defence work around Worcestershire.
Residents shouldn't get too excited. We, the forgotten few in Wick, are still waiting for ours to be fitted three years after we finally persuaded our parish council to apply for available funding and seven years since the 2007 floods.
Fourteen months after meetings with the various government agencies and Wychavon District Council we're still waiting to receive a letter informing us of an engineer's visit to assess our properties.
Then we have to wait for someone to come out and fit the protection.
So it drags on (I've built my own).
