SHOULD we grab our torches and pitchforks for a smiling monster with the aroma of freshly ground coffee?

From the market trader to the chains to the multi-national companies, they virtually all share one thing in common – they all started at nothing.

Some have been extremely successful and grown to large companies and others haven't yet reached their full potential.

All equally can go out of business if they lose sight of their customers' needs, as we have seen with Woolworth's, among many others.

So should we limit success, and not allow any business to prosper? Should we tell Coffee#1 they are too exceptional for our High Street?

I am speaking from the viewpoint of someone who workson the High Street for a market-leading chain.

The company I work for is giving fantastic opportunities for development to both myself and

other employees living in Pershore, giving rise to greater skills and education in the area.
