SO there you have it, a regularly manned speed camera trap on the outskirts of town while nine burglaries have taken place in Broadway, Badsey, Beckford and Greenhill.
The speed camera van is parked only yards from where the 30mph zone changes to the 50mph zone, and this position is questionable to say the least as it provides no service other than to trap regular motorists who are naturally increasing their speed into the 50mph zone.
I have been travelling this particular stretch of road every day for the last 10 years and have never seen
any accident or incident take place here, which brings into question why the camera is positioned at this point other than that of a money-making exercise which creates revenue but incriminates regular motorists which is not acceptable.
In my opinion these speed cameras should be positioned outside schools and colleges where they would actually serve the purpose that they are intended for.
