REGARDING the unclaimed £50,000 lottery ticket in the Wychavon area (Journal, March 19), I notice that National Lottery do not try very hard to find a winner.

They know where it was purchased so why not use some of the surplus money and massive profits to advertise where the ticket was purchased and at what time?

National Lottery must make millions out of unclaimed tickets; it's time that the when a ticket is purchased the address and post code or email is taken. That would be easy with the current technology. That way there would be no unclaimed tickets.
