IS Pershore going to meet consumer demands?
Nationally, shopping locally has grown significantly in recent times with some towns thriving, and others not seeing the benefit.
A lack of convenience is a real issue that many consumers face. Many high streets are suffering because of their parking charges and opening hours.
Many Pershore traders are locking up shop before the golden hours of 5pm-8pm, allowing out-of-town retailers to cash in on the evening economy.
A visit to the Georgian market town of Pershore on a Friday evening could provide a welcome alternative to a concrete retail park, and parking is free after 6pm.
Hair salons and beauticians are leading the way in convenience on our high streets.
We at Regis Pershore are one such salon. We continually monitor guest demand and review our opening hours annually. We see it as part of customer service.
So the race is on for high streets to meet consumer demands. How will our high street react.
