I READ with dismay the recent letter from Joan Constant (April 9) as she seems to have a bee in her bonnet with regard to condoning speed cameras on our roads.

Although I would not advocate speeding in any way whatsoever, I do think that the subject is worthy of a proper discussion based on facts and not presumptions.

All matters that affect the general public should always be open to question as the positioning of the cameras may be of concern.

Joan Constant's comments and views are obnoxious and immature, and do not say anything new on the subject.
