Everyone enjoyed themselves at the mop fair at Evesham except the poor goldfish trapped in small bags on one of the stalls. They were being given as prizes! I thought most councils had banned live goldfish as prizes.
These poor creatures suffer terribly. Goldfish have no eyelids so cannot protect themselves from the bright and flashing lights around them. The bags of water they are in don’t have enough oxygen in them. I imagine by the time they are won they are already sick or dying.
Can we please see an end to this outdated stall next year?
