How right councillor Gordon Mathews is.
It does seem that there will be only one crossing between Swan Lane and Worcester Road junction because of the narrowing of the road mainly between Albert Road and Queen’s Road that is to provide approximately nine parking spaces and a few more farther down. So how does councillor John Smith expect old people/children going to school /parents with young children and push chairs to cross the road in safety? They should think seriously about reinstating some safe ways of crossing this particular stretch of road before there is an accident.
It will not be on my conscience. These sort of things should not have to be addressed - there are enough councillors on this and you would think that they should get it right! So what might they do, get it all finished and then dig the road up to put it right?

We have no school sign and no crossing. Now we don't even have the safety of the central bollard when crossing the road!
There are 200 children at our school and most have to make their way on foot, particularly as parking around the school is very limited.
Then there's the 2 4x4's parked daily outside the fishing tackle shop, one on the corner of the shops, the other on the church side just inches from the edge of St Egwins Road.
Like bookends, and completely obscuring the view for both motorists and pedestrians approching St Edgwins Road.
This (the parking) has been complained about time and time again, but apparently the driver is untouchable, as he's an ex-policeman!
