Torch relay flop

I WOULD like to congratulate Wychavon Council on demonstrating their ability to completely cock up the Olympic Torch relay in Broadway.

Only a council of superior incompetence could possibly decide that provision of additional parking would not be necessary and to steward the event with so few staff was pure genius, a fantastic exercise in cost saving.

Needless to say, the event felt like a flop. In the chaos I didn’t even see the torch and I guess that people visiting from outside felt the same. Again, pure genius. The council can further save by not spending any money to make those nasty visitors feel welcome in the future.

I expect that the planning took ages, and Wychavon, you did really good job.

Next time try planning to make it a pleasant experience.

Question. When you have driven all business out of the area and all tourists.

what is the plan then?
