I WONDER if the highways department of Wychavon have given any thought as to what they might do to the ornamental pedestals on Abbey Bridge when it is demolished? Perhaps they could offer them for sale as garden ornaments or maybe incorporate them into the Workman Gardens or somewhere similar? They have been a prominent sight in Evesham for decades and it would be a shame for them to be destroyed.
