A NEW social enterprise is bringing healthy activities to Evesham and Pershore.

Kim Bonk and Alex Mellor have started 'Bonkers Activities' to take place on or around the River Avon.

The events will include stand up paddleboarding, a new trend watersport that Mr Mellor was one of the first in the UK to develop.

Mr Mellow said: "The river is the most beautiful asset we have in the area. It’s like seeing the town and countryside from a whole new perspective.

"Combining this with some kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding, always makes a great and memorable experience. Get in touch and we can get you on the river."

Lessons, hires and club nights are planned for Pershore Riverside Centre and Evesham Rowing club.

Mr Mellor is also setting up a system of river trips, so families, groups or individuals can explore the river, either on stand-up paddleboards, canoes or kayaks.

The duo are the founders of Aztec Watersports, Surfantix and Kim’s Bonk Scooter shop.

Bonkers already works with local schools and scout groups offering multi activity sessions, and is now taking bookings for their summer activity days for nine to 16 year olds.

Bonkers also offer a mobile archery unit that can be booked and is suitable for any event, fate or special day, with its own self-contained armoured tent.
