A PET service saw almost 50 people assemble on Charlton Village Green to celebrate.
The four legged attendants included two horses grazing on the green and dogs of many sizes.
Poems were read by young people from the village and songs were sung in the event on Sunday June 18.
The pets and a photo of a pet cat were blessed by Reverend Sarah Dangerfield and received a certificate for the blessing.
