BUG hunting, craft activities and guided walks will help to make Vale of Evesham residents go wild this July.

Staff and volunteers from Worcestershire Wildlife Trust are running a series of events from Monday to Friday next week.

Hannah Thomas, engagement officer for the trust said: “We’ve got some fantastic wildlife and wild places in and around Evesham as well as throughout Worcestershire.

“We’d love to inspire both residents and visitors to Evesham about some of this wildlife – from minibeasts in the grounds of Abbey Park to wildflowers on our Windmill Hill nature reserve.

“We’re delighted that both The Almonry Museum and The Churches Conservation Trust are joining in the wild fun too.”

On Wednesday, visitors can head to St Lawrence's Church in Market Place from 11am until 3pm for family arts, crafts and activities and to discover fantastical creatures.

Also on Wednesday there will be a big bug hunt at The Almonry Museum from 1pm until 4.30pm families can discover bugs and beasties in the garden and make a bug hotel.
