TEMPORARY traffic lights are to be installed following a burst water pipe on Foregate Street this morning (Monday, November 20).

No residents or businesses are without supply as a result of the burst pipe.

The bus lane has also been suspended on Foregate Street with diversions being made via St Mary's Street and Sansome Walk.

The damaged pipe caused traffic congestion throughout the afternoon.

A Severn Trent spokesperson said: "Engineers are working to repair a water pipe that burst beneath Foregate Street this morning.

"No customers are without supply as a result of the burst. Temporary traffic lights will be in place while the repair is completed to make sure our engineers can work safely.

"We’re sorry for the inconvenience this causes and will work as quick as we can to get everything back to normal."
