THE VILLAGE of Beckford is to receive more than £120,000 in flood defence funding.
About 40 homes were damaged by the floods of July 2007 and the money will be used to survey affected properties in the village and develop a protection scheme for those which suffered the worst.
The grant from DEFRA was approved in a bid from Wychavon District Council and local company Haycock environmental consultants with support from the Envrionment Agency.
