I read with disgust your report about a Biggin Hill resident with a disabled daughter who was fined by Bromley Council for parking outside her house to enable her daughter to get in and out of the car (News Shopper, October 31). I hope the petty-minded traffic warden is pleased with himself. The Bromley Traffic Operations manager stated parking on the footway is an offence, yet a number of roads in St Paul's Cray have cars parked on the footway making it difficult for pedestrians to walk on the pavements safely. Bromley Council obviously have double standards.
