Borough blooms

COUNCIL chiefs, parks maintenance contractors and sponsors got together to celebrate winning the London in Bloom competition.
The borough scooped awards in five categories including first place in the best floral category.
Last year they were disappointed about being beaten into second place by Merton.
Chairman of leisure and community services Councillor Joan Wykes said: “Bromley has had a wonderful year in London in Bloom marked by this special reception.
“I would like to thank and pay a special tribute to everyone who has been involved.”
