Fun at care home

THERE was fun for all the family at a Pershore care home when it held a fete in aid Cancer Research UK.

Heathlands on Station Road opened its doors to all for the fun and games.

Members of the home’s team were in the stocks and care assistant Jay Paciente even braved the shears for a sponsored head shave.

Care assistant Kerrie Haines organised the event, which will raise funds for Cancer Research UK after her father Derek Hope was diagnosed with throat cancer.

She said: “I wanted to raise money for a charity close to our hearts and thought what better way to do it than to hold it at the home.”
