PERSHORE Poppy Appeal launches in earnest in Pershore this Saturday with the first of many fund-raising events being put on by the Veteran organisations within the town over the next five weeks.
Pershore & District Royal Naval Association are holding a table top sale and cake stall at Pershore Naval Social Club on Saturday (October 26) from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
They have collected a variety of items and bric-a-brac including lots of vintage china tea sets that had been used at Vintage Tea fund-raisers.
Kind members are also donating home baked goodies and everything sold on the day will be going directly to the Poppy Appeal. There will also be a stall with official poppy items on including hair bands, 2013 lapel pins, car poppies, key rings, wrist bands etc.
The next event the RNA will be holding for the Poppy Appeal will be combined with Pershore Naval Social Club on Saturday, November 30, with their members holding a social evening.
There will be live entertainment provided by Pershore vocalist Brian Chriss and tickets for this event are just £2 each to include Supper.
