GHOST walks around Cradley Heath’s Haden Hill Park are being revived after an absence of 12 months.

Members of the park’s friends’ group will hope to conjure up the spirits at the first of a series of treks on Saturday August 2.

Chairman Ken Smith, who ran the walks for about five years, said a dozen eerie stories would be recounted during the two-hour ghost walk.

They include the tragic tale of the oldest spirits in the park – a young miscreant monk who, legend states, was buried alive in a tunnel in the park and his lover, Eleanor, who died of a broken heart.

The ghost walk starts at 7pm and costs £4 for adults and young people aged 14 and over. To book tickets or for more information contact 07896993709.
