UNFORGETTABLE songs from the golden age of theatre are being performed in Blackheath this month.

And the public are being invited to give their vocal chords a stretch and sing the songs in a one off concert.

On Saturday, September 20, St. Paul's Church, Long Lane, is presenting a scratch performance of Songs From The Shows.

The programme will include musical classics from Les Miserables, West Side Story, Phantom of The Opera amongst other classics.

Graham Roberts, from the church, is urging singers to take the chance to sing the classics in front of an audience.

He said: "If you are thinking 'I'd love to be singing those' then here is the chance.

"Join the St. Paul's singers for rehearsals on the day from 10am and 12.30pm and then be in the show which starts at 7pm."

Admission is free and so are the refreshments.
