A RENOWNED BBC journalist, producer and TV executive gave a “captivating” talk about ambition to sixth form students at Wolverley CE Secondary School.
Will Wyatt spoke to the students about how he overcame setbacks to carve out a successful career in the media.
His visit to the school was part of the Speakers4Schools initiative which arranges for leaders in various fields to speak with schoolchildren.
Bryn Thomas, headteacher, said: ““We were delighted that someone with Will Wyatt’s experience was able to attend the school and talk to the students. I know they all found him extremely captivating.
“Everyone at the school is dedicated to our Ambition Unlimited motto, and for the students to hear firsthand how hard work and dedication really can pay off certainly brought this to life for them.”
Beginning his career at the Sheffield Morning Telegraph, Will then moved to the BBC where he worked as a journalist, producer and executive.
He has also been vice-president of the European Broadcasting Union, president of the Royal Television Society, and has written various books.
