FRIENDS and colleagues of Black Country funnyman Tommy Mundon are planning a tribute to the much-loved entertainer by staging a performance to salute his life while raising funds for Mary Stevens Hospice at the same time.

Renowned Black Country entertainers including Aynuk, Doug Parker, Dandy, Ken Wood and Maggie O'Hara have all agreed to feature at the event at Dudley Town Hall on February 17.

Money raised from the tribute will go to the hospice where Tommy received treatment until his death earlier this year.

Charlotte Schofield, lottery and special events manager for the hospice, said: "This is a real chance for people of the Black Country to come together and pay tribute to a true local legend who held a special place in his heart for Mary Stevens Hospice."

Tickets, which cost £12 per person, will go on sale at the end of the month and are available on 01384 377778.
