A MALVERN businessman says he is "furious" after his one-of-a-kind car was keyed, costing him thousands of pounds.

Nigel Streeter, who lives on Worcester Road, said his custom-painted Toyota Aristo was keyed along both sides of the car while it was parked in a private car park at the back of his house last Thursday.

This comes after his neighbour's moped was also damaged and a car belonging to Mr Streeter's wife, Victoria, had the spoiler torn off it.

"I'm just so angry. The car was painted a custom orange that was made up for me when I bought it off my brother, who had had it in storage. It's going to cost me thousands of pounds to repair and repaint it. It is the most infuriating thing, it's completely mindless," the 57-year-old said.

Mr Streeter, who runs a publishing business, said he and his wife moved to Malvern from Essex where they never had any problems like this.

"Some people think the south end isn't the nicest of places, but we never once had trouble like this when we lived there. We moved to Malvern in March 2013 because we thought it would be a nice place to live.

"I'm probably going to have to sell the car and buy an old rust bucket, because I'm too afraid to have anything nice in case anyone ruins it.

"I don't have any enemies or know of anyone who would want to do this. They obviously targeted my car because it wasn't the only car parked in the car park but it was the only one damaged on that night. There are lights that come on when someone comes in to the car park and my car is directly under the light. It's obviously someone who is jealous and just wanted to do some damage."
