A TEENAGER was attacked by three men as he crossed a city bridge on his way back from a football match.

The 16-year-old boy received minor injuries on Sabrina Bridge in Worcester on Sunday, December 7, at 7.30pm.

The boy had been on a coach on the way back from the Worcester City Football Club's away match to Scunthorpe where a verbal row took place.

The three alleged attackers were sat at the back of the bus shouting at the victim, who was sitting at the front and was not retaliating, according to police.

Once the victim got off the coach with his two friends and began to walk away over the bridge, a group of men approached them from behind.

They attacked the boy, leaving him with minor head injuries.

The three men are described as white. The first was around 5ft 10in, of a stocky build. He was wearing a beige cap and denim jeans. The second was slightly tanned, about 5ft 9in, of a slim build. He was wearing a dark blue cap and denim jeans. There is no description of the third man.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward by calling 101 and quoting incident 65S of Monday 8 December.
