A NEW Christmas market will be opened in style in Droitwich next week.
The market, which will feature a range of Christmas treats and crafts, starts on Saturday, December 20 at 10am and will run until the final day on Christmas Eve.
Dame Dotty Dooright, one of the stars of this year's Norbury Theatre pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, will open the market.
Town Mayor, Councillor Bob Brookes, said: "To celebrate the start of a new venture there will be a real Christmas delicacy, Schokoküsse (Chocolate Kisses) directly from Germany. Our own Norbury Theatre is getting ready for this year's Panto so having a real Dame to open the event was just too good an opportunity to miss.”
The market is a pilot project by the town council.
Sleeping Beauty starts on Friday, January 9 and tickets are available by calling 01905 770154 or visiting www.norburytheatre.co.uk.
