CHRISTMAS traditions old and new are being celebrated at Croome Court near Pershore.

Hundreds of people have taken part in a winter parkland trail around the National Trust property over the last few weeks, where children could spot the missing reindeer and have photographs taken in Santa's sleigh at the end of the trail.

Children could also visit Father Christmas in his grotto in the basement of the court and Malvern-based choir, the Hills Singers, entertained at the annual carol concert on Saturday.

More music was provided by the Worcester Ukulele Club and Festive Flutes and a Christmas market had more than 20 stalls to help with the Christmas shopping.

Becky Wilks, Croome’s visitor services assistant, said: "We’ve had some lovely comments from our visitors about our first Christmas market which was a resounding success. We are hoping that next year’s will be even bigger and better.

"Visitors also had the chance to learn a new skill at one of Croome’s many Christmas workshops. Particularly popular was the traditional wreath making workshop. With all the materials supplied, visitors appreciated learning how to make their very own traditional wreath to take home with them."
