PUPILS at Michaelchurch Escley Primary School decided to perform their nativity play with a slight twist.
Starting by Escley Brook at the Bridge Inn, the children processed from the pub towards The Bridge Inn Farm House following Mary and Joseph who rode a donkey named Bunty.
The children paused at several front doors on the way as the narrators from the upper school told the Christmas story through the Golden Valley village.
The procession arrived at the final ‘inn’– a straw filled barn – with more singing, some modern, some traditional, and music from the Michaelchurch Escley Primary School parent band.
