REAL animals will star in this year's Crib Service at Worcester Cathedral on Wednesday.
Sheep and a donkey will bring the service — which is led by Cathedral Precentor Canon Michael Brierley — alive at 3pm on Christmas Eve.
A purpose built thatched stable is being created by the cathedral’s carpenter who is also providing his young son to be the baby Jesus.
Canon Brierley said: "This service promises to be immensely special, and is the most wonderful way of getting Christmas off to the best possible start. We warmly welcome everyone along."
