A TEN year management draft plan for a Wyre Forest park has been created by Worcestershire County Council who want to hear residents' views.

The plan for Blackstone Riverside Park, in Ribbesford, Bewdley, has been developed by the county council’s Countryside Services Sites Team as part of their park management, using past and current information and plans.

Aiming for the park to be a “gateway to the wider Wyre Forest area”, the council will spend the next ten years implementing a variety of improvements.

George Hammonds, countryside sites officer, said: “We are pleased that this plan, which shapes the future of this popular country park, is now available for general comments.

“The ten year plan will guide the management of this lovely riverside site and aims to enhance the biodiversity value of the site, while ensuring the destination remains delightful for the whole family.”

The new plan aims to provide continuity of management on the site, increase knowledge of flora and fauna, manage the different habitats to increase the diversity of flora and fauna, maintain and enhance landscape quality of the park and maximise the value of the site for wildlife and recreation.
