ROAD closures have been removed in Dudley Port following an incident involving a man sitting on a bridge.

West Midlands Police tweeted: "TRAFFIC ALERT - All roads in Dudley Port have reopened. The man has been safely removed from the bridge. Thank you."

The blocks were put in place to avoid cars coming into contact with the man

West Midlands Police, who are liasing with the British Transport Police, were called at 3.17pm to bring the incident into a safe conclusion.

National Express West Midlands which diverted the 74 service during the incident tweeted: "UPDATE:Service74 is back to normal to normal line of route however there will still be heavy delays around the area until the traffic clears."
