PEOPLE of Stourbridge are being invited to a free drop-in event to help them make the most of using the internet.

Dudley Council is offering the information session at Stourbridge Library on Thursday (March 5) from 10am until 2pm.

Library staff will be on hand to share a range of information and demonstrate how to research family history, set up and use email, use social media and access e-magazines.

Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “People have greater access to information and services at their fingertips than ever before.

“Using the internet and social media offers a variety of benefits to anyone wishing to use it, and is a great way to demonstrate self confidence and social skills.”

Adult learning tutors will also be showing tablet users how to access online services, as well as promoting free taster sessions and courses.
