THE sky's the limit for staff at a Worcester store as they embark upon some first class fundraising in aid of a life-saving charity.

Staff at Wickes on Shrub Hill Retail Park are gearing up for two fun-filled days on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, as part of their ongoing fundraising for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

Shoppers are being invited to the store where they can put their DIY skills to the test in a bid to set The City of Worcester Paper Airplane Flight Record, with top prizes awarded to the junior and adult who achieve the farthest distance.

Meanwhile, super sleuths can put their orienteering skills to the test with an Easter treasure trail running throughout the kitchen and bathroom showroom.

All those who complete the trail will receive a small prize and the finders of the golden egg have the chance of scooping a luxury chocolate version and a Wickes gift card.

Francis Jacombs, store manager, said: “The team at Worcester Wickes love nothing more than taking on a challenge for a great cause. Competition is already hotting up amongst staff for the paper airplane contest and we can’t wait to see what innovative designs our customers bring along."

Each event costs 50p to enter, with all proceeds going to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

From Monday (March 8), customers can donate 50p at the tills for a chance to win an Easter egg on the till tombola.

The treasure trail and paper airplane competition will take place between 10am and 5pm on the Saturday, and 11am and 3.30pm on Sunday.

To qualify take a selfie with the egg and post it on the Wickes Facebook page or send to the @WickesWorcester Twitter account. The winner will be alerted on Monday, March 16.
