Earlier this week reporters Catherine Phillips and Ian Craig reflected on their childhoods growing up in Worcester in the 1990s.

Here relative newcomer Stephanie Preece reflects on what it is like when you haven't grown up in the city......

1) You have embarrassed yourself by mispronouncing Bevere, Shelsley Beauchamp and Mealcheapen Street in public.

2) Bath Road has always led to St Peter’s – and you have no idea why the buses ever needed the ‘Norton turn’.

3) Warndon Villages has always existed.

4) You can’t remember the river freezing.

5) You weren’t there that legendary night that Take That played at Tramps (although you wish you had been).

6) You still get excited when the river floods South Quay and you can take pictures of swan at the steps of Browns.

7) You had spent the majority of your life never hearing the term 'Faithful City'

8) You have never drunk at ‘Barrels’ nor 'Bottles'.

9) You still smile when someone mentions Wyre Piddle.

10) You have only been to West Midlands Safari Park once, and that was on a coach, and it took more than two hours to get there.
