NICK James has done “loads” of work on Whitney- on-Wye toll bridge – now he’s a permanent part of it.
Nick and Hannah James are the first to attach a commemorative brass plaque to the bridge.
Bridge owners Maggie Taylor and Grahame Penny recently launched a Brass Plaque Scheme to mark the landmark’s 240th birthday.
Proceeds from the plaques will pay for maintenance.
The plaque was bought for the couple as a gift for their first wedding anniversary.
“Nick has done loads of the maintenance for us here at the bridge,” said Maggie.
