FUNDRAISERS in Evesham raised hundreds of pounds at a recent charity event in the town.

The Relay for Life fundraisers, called Team Beat It, are gathering money towards their total before the event on June 27 and 28.

And at a recent table top sale the group raised £315.39 towards the team total.

Laura Cherry, one of the team members, thanked those that supported them.

She said: "We'd like to say thank you to all the people that helped support us in our table top fundraiser.

"I would like to give special thanks to Christine Jones on making the 50 free cupcakes, Jayne Buggin on helping set up the event and Mary Brookes on making a relay for life cake to used in the game of guess the weight of the cake."

The team are now looking forward to the next fundraising event, a carboot and dog show, to be held on Sunday, April 12, at Hampton Ferry, Boat Lane, Merstow Green, Evesham, from 11am onwards.

It will cost £5 per carboot and £1 a round on dog show with rosettes for first to fourth placings.

All proceeds again go to relay for life. For more information call Kim Evans on 07506969115.
