A BAND more known for playing to thousands will perform in front of a much smaller audience in Stourbridge this month.

Clinic, a post-punk revival/noise rock group from Liverpool, have been the main support for Radiohead on both ‘Kid A’ and ‘In Rainbows’ tours recently.

After playing in front of 5,000 people in Japan a few weeks ago, the band will step out on stage at Scary Canary The Venue, in High Street, on April 24.

Noted for their prominent use of vintage keyboards and organs and off-scale chord progressions, Clinic also saw their Internal Wrangler album voted at number five in Pitchfork's best albums of the year chart.

Clinic will be supported in Stourbridge by Miss Halliwell, a notorious musical group that has survived in various forms since 2007.

Led by Miles Perhower, they recently released their long awaited compilation album ‘Perhower and the Gory Years (Best of 2010 - 2014)’ with their new EP released early last month.

Steve Pilcher, owner of Scary Canary The Venue, said: “This is our biggest gig to date and ticket sales are already showing a huge pull, with people travelling from as far as Cardiff for the show.

“We always want to give support slots to local acts and this time it’s Miss Halliwell who have the honour of getting the crowd warmed up.”

Tickets for the gig, which starts at 7pm, cost £12 and are available from the Scary Canary box office, located in the shop on the corner of High Street and Market Street, or online at www.scarycanaryvenue.com
