A WOMAN who was found in the car park of a Worcester pub drinking four stolen cans of Special Brew with a ginger wig has admitted theft and being drunk and disorderly.

Joanne Harbourne, of Dalegarth Court, appeared at Worcester Magistrates’ Court following the incident on Sunday, March 22.

The court was told the 44-year-old had been spotted stealing the cans from Spar in Cranham Drive and was later found in the car park of the Glover’s Needle in Windermere Drive with a ginger wig.

Prosecuting, Owen Beale said police called her husband at about 5.30pm asking him to come and pick her up, but about an hour later he phoned the officers saying he “couldn’t get her home”.

Rob Macrory, defending, said Harbourne “just had a bad day”.

She was fined £40 for each of the two offences and ordered to pay £4.76 for the stolen Special Brew.

She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
